Northville Rowing Club - 2018 FALL Competition Season
Parent/Rower Information Meeting - Tuesday, August 21 at 7:00pm
At Northville High School in the Forum
Season Starts September 4th and runs through Monday, Nov 5th
Online registration will be open on Tuesday, August 21 and all rowers must be registered by Monday, August 27. If you missed the Info Meeting, the PPT presentation is available below.

Northville Rowing Club - 2018 Summer Camps
During summer we offer a variety of optional week-long camps. Most camps run Monday through Thursday (unless otherwise indicated) with Friday planned only if there is an inclement weather cancellation earlier in the week. These are a combination of Sweep, Sculling and Learn to Row. All participants must become US Rowing members (1-time annual cost at registration, approx $10). No refunds.

For the summer of 2018 we have the following camps planned:

For new rowers:

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARN TO ROW - June 18-21* 
Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30am, $200  
For incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders interested in rowing. Liability waiver (instead of an Athletic physical) and a swim test will be required prior to on water practice.
(minimum 8 rowers, maximum 27 rowers)

HIGH SCHOOL LEARN TO ROW - Aug 20-24* 
Monday-Friday, 4:30-6:30pm, $200  (Wednesday will be held at NHS, all other days at the lake)
For incoming 9th graders as well as any 10th-12th grade high school student interested in rowing. Liability waiver (instead of an Athletic physical) and a swim test will be required prior to on water practice. 
(minimum 7 rowers, maximum 36 rowers)

ADULT (age 18+) LEARN TO ROW - Aug 27-31* 
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 5:00-7:30pm, $200
For any adult interested in rowing. No physicals or swim test required, liability waiver form signatures required instead. 
(minimum 7 rowers, maximum 36 rowers)

*Opportunity for current experienced rowers to attend as well to assist the coaches - talk to Coach Nick if interested.

For returning/current rowers, or new rowers who have already attended a Learn To Row camp (either with our team or at Washtenaw Rowing Center):  

SWEEP CAMP - July 16-19 
Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30am, $150
For incoming 9th graders as well as any 10th-12th grade high school student. (minimum 9 rowers, maximum 36 rowers)

For returning/current rowers: 

LEARN TO SCULL Camp - June 25-28
Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30am, $200 
For incoming 10-12th grade Northville high school students only. (minimum 10 rowers, maximum 14 rowers)

SCULLING Camp - July 9-12 
Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30am, $200 
For incoming 10-12th grade Northville high school students who have already completed Learn to Scull camp. (minimum 10 rowers, maximum 14 rowers)

MICHIGAN SUMMER GAMES Camp - June 11-23
Monday-Thursday, June 11-14, 4:30-6:30pm (can adjust earlier if needed due to Finals studying), June 18-22, 8:45-10:45am, will compete at Michigan Summer Games Regatta in Grand Rapids on June 23, $300 
For incoming 10-12th grade high school experienced rowers. (minimum 10 total rowers, maximum 8 boys, 8 girls, 2 coxswains) Registration will be open to Northville rowers only until June 1, then will be opened up to other school rowers.

MICHIGAN CLUB INVITATIONAL (MCI) Camp - July 9-28
Monday-Thursday, July 9-12, July 16-19, July 23-27; 8:45-10:45am, will compete at MCI Regatta in Ann Arbor on July 28, $350 
For incoming 10-12th grade high school experienced rowers. (minimum 10 total rowers, maximum 8 boys, 8 girls, 2 coxswains) Registration will be open to Northville rowers only until June 1, then will be opened up to other school rowers.

SUMMER PRIVATE COACHING
Must be current NRC rower to schedule. See form attached below for dates and details.

If none of our camps work with your schedule, there are other rowing opportunities in the Metro Detroit area. See Washtenaw Rowing Center for their available summer camp options as well.

PARK PASSES: Since we row at Kensington Metropark, you will need to have an auto pass to enter the park. You can purchase the passes directly from the park front gate or online at: http://www.metroparks.com/shop/

Northville Rowing Club - Fall Competition Season
Our Fall long course season traditionally runs from early September through the end of October or early November with practices Monday-Friday afternoons on the lake, weather permitting.

Northville Rowing Club - Winter Conditioning
Our optional winter conditioning season traditionally runs from mid November through late February with practices Monday-Friday at NHS on the ergs as well as weight training. Our optional winter conditioning season is a great way to stay in shape and get ready for spring racing!

Northville Rowing Club - Spring Competition Season
Our Spring short course season traditionally runs from March through the beginning of June with practices Monday-Friday afternoons on the lake, weather permitting. Also the Varsity team practices on the lake on most non-regatta Saturday mornings during the season.

Northville Rowing Club is a non-profit, 501C3, rowing for Northville High School. NRC is a co-ed, no experience required, competitive club sport, with an opportunity to earn a Varsity Letter. We welcome 9th to 12th Grade students from NHS.
